The series premiered in
1950. Stopped in 1954 after 22 issues.
The title character is an adolescent, bumbling boy,
who, inadvertently, creates chaos, craziness, and disaster where
he goes. He lives with his family in Centerville, and mostly we
follow his (mis)adventures with his buddies and his girlfriends.
The series is a spinoff from a radio situation
comedy show named The Aldrich Family (1939-1953), and a TV
series (1949-1953).
