* The series started as pulp fiction novels in 1907 in Germany under the title Detektiv Sherlock Holmes und seine weltberühmten Abenteuer (Sherlock Holmes' world famous cases), and they were written by numerous ghost writers. The two main creators mentioned above started the comic book version by rendering their free adaptations of some of the initial stories.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The comic book series premiered in 1986. Stopped in 2004.

The series is also known as The American Sherlock Holmes and it tells about the American detective Harry Dickson, who has settled (for the most part) in London, England, where he solves the most dangerous and intricate criminal mysteries. At his side he has a young assistant named Tom Wills. The series takes place sometimes during the 1930s.
