The series premiered in 1988. Stopped in 1990 after 20 issues.

The stories feature the imaginary events of a Brazilian TV star. The series is built upon the famous TV presenter Antônio Augusto de Moraes Liberato, better known as Gugu, who started his television career in 1981 and is still ongoing.

The full title of the series is Revista do Gugu.
