Personal dates: Founded in the USA in 1997 by Stuart 'Stu' J. Levy (1967-). Stopped in 2011.

Comments: The corporation partly focussed on Japanese Manga comic books, and it still has several active, overseas subsidiaries.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2002. Stopped in 2005 after 25 issues.

The main character, the 22-year old Eikichi Onizuka, is a former wild member of a motorcycle gang, but now he is reformed and settled down as a teacher in the private middle school named Holy Forest Academy in Tokyo, Japan. He sets out to be the best teacher ever, and to that end he is aided by his background that adds philosophy and general wisdom to his educational skills.

The series is also known as Greatest Teacher Onizuka (abbreviated to GTO).
