MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1985. Stopped in 1995 after 120 issues, but the series has been revived several times since then.

The title character in this parody of the popular Sword and Sorcery genre is a rather ugly and quite stupid masterswordsman, who tries to make a living as a mercenary. Unfortunately Groo is exceptionally accident-prone, and it does not exactly help his situation that he is usually totally oblivious to the goings-on around him. But he loves fighting and when he goes to battle he rarely remembers which side he is on.

The full title of the series is Sergio Aragonés Groo the Wanderer.
