The series premiered in 1966. Stopped in 1967 after 8 issues.

The starring character, Maxwell Smart, is a secret agent (codename 86) who is involved in numerous spectacular missions, where he often manages to save the world despite his distinct lack of skills.

The series is a spinoff from a TV series that ran from 1965 to 1970.
