MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1923. Stopped in 1968.

The series was a spinoff on a long-running famous Danish silent film series starring two odd vagabonds, the tall Fyrtårnet (The Lighthouse) and the small Bivognen (The Follower). Fyrtårnet is the seemingly clever one of the two, but he usually manages to bungle things up caused by the 'helping' hands of his confused companion Bivognen.
Many of the couple's adventures take place in Denmark where they are applying for jobs, but in many others they somehow manage to travel to exotic parts of the world, which they rarely did in the films.

The films were internationally exported and won much acclaim. Examples of their names abroad: Fyrtårnet och Släpvagnen (Swedish), Pat und Patachon (German), Long & Short and Wat & Halfwat (English).
