MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2005. Stopped in 2011 after 27 issues.

The stories are set in a fictional alchemy universe in the land of Amestris, in which the two brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric are searching for the philosopher's stone, that may help them get their normal appearances back (Edward has lost his right arm and his left leg, and Alphonse has lost his entire body and his soul is now tied to a suit of armour).
