MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1939*.

The title character is one of the few Disney characters that does not speak. He is basically a good-natured black and white cat but with an occasional streak of mischief. In the comic book stories he is mostly a member of Minnie Mouse's household.

* The character originates from the 1940 animated Disney feature film Pinocchio, and has since appeared in diverse cartoon shorts and comic book stories.
