Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1992*. Stopped in 1994 after 18 issues.

The character of Eclipso is a scientist named Bruce Gordon, who, via a solar eclipse (hence his alter ego name) and a curse from a witch doctor, was made a superhero - but with the important difference that he becomes an evil one whenever a lunar or solar eclipse occur.

* The main character started in 1963, and he has been revived several times in different series.
