MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1986*. Stopped in 1991 after 38 issues, but was briefly revived from 1994 to 1995 (additional 7 issues).

The series' main character is Vanth Dreadstar, a man born on the planet Byfrexia, who is the sole survivor of the Milky way galaxy after devastating wars had been fought. The evil Zygotean race now tries to conquer his home planet. Luckily, Dreadstar has acquired superpowers via an enchanted sword that allows him to take up resistance against the oppressors.
