Personal dates: Founded in Denmark in 1899 as P.I.B. by Hjalmar Carlsen (1875-1951) and has since then changed name several times. It has subsidiaries in several European countries. Ongoing.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2004. Ongoing.

The stories take place in Japan's Kanto region, where 7 schools fight for territorial supremacy. The fighters, who are all teenage girls, wear special Magatama jewels as earrings. Each jewel contains spirits from ancient warriors and impart the bearer with mysterious powers.

The original Japanese title of the series is Ikki Tousen meaning The Strength of a Thousand. In the USA the title is Battle Vixens.
