MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1955. Stopped in 1958.

During the 1950s Disney made a series of nature films titled True-Life Adventure(s). Examples are The Vanishing Prairie, Seal Island, and Jungle Cat. Several of the films were adapted for comic books in the Four Color series (see under Gallery).

Most of the front covers and the stories were drawn by staff artist August Lenox, but others participated as well. Examples are Russ Manning, Jesse Marsh, and Taylor Oughton.
