MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1942. Stopped in 1962.

Beginning in 1937 Disney made a series of animated feature films (long cartoons). Several of the films were adapted for comic books in the Four Color series (see under Gallery).

The front covers and the stories were drawn by many of Four Color's (Western Publishings) artists. Examples are Carl von Buettner, Al Hubbard, and Tony Strobl.
