The series premiered in
1991.
The series consists of so-called
counterfactual stories, meaning that it plays
with theories of basically historic events that
have never happened. The starring character is
the private detective Clement Skunk-Petersen, who
has the ability of moving between parallel worlds
(Dimensionsdetektiven means The
Dimensional Detective in English).
In the stories the hero encounters diverse
imaginary scenarios, in which Denmark - where the
stories take place - has been subjugated to
foreign powers such as German nazis, Italian
Mafiosi, and Soviet communists.
