MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2000*. Stopped the same year after 12 issues.

The series title is short for Digital Monsters, and the stories tell about 7 teenagers (Izzy, Joe, Matt, Mimi, Sora, Tai, T.K.), who are transported into a digital world and via a monster called Digimon paired up with powerful morphing beings (Bukamon, Koromon, Motimon,  Tanemon, Tokomon, Tsunomon, Yokomon). The group then goes out to fight evil.

The full title of the series is Digimon: Digital Monsters.

* The first publishing was as a Japanese manga series starting in 1997.
