The handsome, homeless German title
character lives in the last part of the 1940s,
where he travels the globe. He is mainly a rather
unpleasant and egocentric charlatan type, who
gets involved in diverse intrigues in an
antiheroic way, but he always comes out on top
because of some measure of commitment to the
given tasks.
