MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1983. Stopped in 1993 after 33 issues*, but was continued in 1999 by another publisher (additional 1 issue).

This pocket-sized series features a group of medieval mercenaries (the German title Die Söldner means The Mercenaries in English), who are hired as problem solvers by diverse contractors. The members change along the way but start with Balduin, Bernot, Nicola, and Timon.

* Issues 1-6 were soon reprinted with new front covers as the first editions were sold out.
