MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1976*. Stopped in 1981 after 163 issues, but has been shortly continued several times partly by other publishers.

The title character in these children's stories is an adventurous and goodnatured female bee, who, often accompanied by friends, try to help other characters with their problems.

* The basis for the stories is a German book from 1912, but the series on this page is modelled after a Japanese TV series that aired from 1975 to 1976 (52 episodes).
