MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1980. Stopped in 1989 after 18 issues.

The main character is the young Dutch football player Sjakie Meulemans. His skills on the grass are not too impressive, but one day he receives his idol Voltreffer Vick's old boots, which seem to have special powers enabling him to play much better than before.

The Dutch title means Sjakie's Wonder Slippers in English.
