MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1947. Stopped in 1962.

The main character is a heroic kid frontiersman, who also functions as an active observer of American history during the country's first brittle years. The series spans over several decades and fantasizes on real-life episodes such as the Indian wars and the Lewis/Clark expedition. Hale is sometimes accompanied by his dog, Wolf, who helps him whenever needed.

Initially, the series was titled Dannie Hale, later Dan'l Hale, and it ended up as Danny Hale.
