MAIN STORY |
The series premiered in 2008*. Stopped in 2009 after 12 issues, but has been briefly revived several times since then. The stories consists of harrowing tales of horror mixed with science fiction and some humour. The title creature is Cthulhu described by Lovecraft as 'A monster of vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus-like head whose face is a mass of feelers, a scaly, rubbery-looking body, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet, and long, narrow wings behind'. * The series is loosely based on a 1928 short story by Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937) titled The Call of Cthulhu, which started a cultish interest known as Cthulhu Mythos and coined the phrase Lovecraftian Horror. |
