MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1970.

The title character stars in the so-called Sword and Sorcery genre in a supposedly dark past called The Hyborian Age (10,000 B.C.). Conan grew up as a thief and an outlaw, but he developed into a mighty and brutish warrior who spends much of his time battling villainous characters, but his heroism is sometimes linked to his own gain.

The series has also been known as Conan the Cimmerian, which is a reference to the name of his homeland.
