Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1975. Stopped in 1978 after 12 issues.

The starring character is a wanderer and a barbarian living in the prehistoric land of Pytharia, where he battles monsters, warriors, and wizards. His real name is Valcan Scaramax, but he is known as Claw because of his right hand that was once deformed by sorcery.
