The series premiered in 1965*. Stopped in 1971 after 12 issues.

The starring character is David Merriwether, a righteous crimefighter during the Cold War. He is dressed in a superhero costume but without any special powers. He and his sidekick, a boy named Kit, drives a supersonic Cat Jet in their quest to battle spies, robots, and aliens. They frequently have to rescue Catman's fiancée Terri West and her father Doctor Martin West.

Some of the issues are titled The Adventures of Catman.

* The character as such debuted in 1951 but only received his own magazine in 1957. Since then published by several publishers thus the numberings on this page start at issue #15.
