MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1952. Stopped in 1958 after 64 issues*.

The starring character, Casper, is a rather unusual ghost, as he is not interested in scaring his surroundings, although his abilities do come in handy from time to time. In fact, Casper spends most of his time as a do-gooder with a big heart.

* There has been a great number of spinoffs starring Casper. Examples: Casper the Friendly Ghost from 1958 to 1982 (224 issues), Casper's Ghostland from 1958 to 1979 (98 issues), TV Casper and Company from 1963 to 1974 (46 issues), and Casper and Nightmare from 1964 to 1974 (41 issues).
