MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1962. Stopped in 1963 after 6 issues.

This humorous series unfolds in the New York City borough of Bronx, where we follow the professional life of two police officers from the fictional 53rd precinct patrolling in their assigned car number 54. Francis Muldoon is the taller and more silent character, while Gunther Toody is the shorter and very talkative character.

The series is a spinoff from a TV show titled Car 54, Where Are You?, that ran from 1961 to 1963 (60 episodes). This is also the full title of the comic book series.
