The series premiered in 1965*. Stopped in 1974 after 7 issues, but was briefly continued by another publisher in 1980 (additional 2 issues).

The main character in this series during the time of the French musketeers is Roland de Born, who is a swashbuckling adventurer known only as Capitan.
