MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1946.

The title character is an anthropomorphic bear, who lives in the woods. Apparently, he has a split personality, because he is either friendly and helpful  to the inhabitants (he frequently helps Li'l Bad Wolf and The Three Little Pigs), or he is the dimwitted sidekick to the villainous Brer Fox.
