MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2003. Stopped in 2010 after 14 issues, but has been continued in several shortlived, new series.

The title stands for Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense, which is an organization to protect the USA from occult, paranormal, and supernatural incidents and attacks. The members are numerous; Abe Sapien, Hellboy, Johann Kraus, Kate Corrigan, Liz Sherman, and Tom Manning are examples.
