Comments: The corporation started the publishing of newspapers and novels in 1922, and since 1938 a variety of children's comic book series have been added.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1977*. Stopped in 1997 after 16 issues.

The series' title character is a prisoner occupying cell 14a in the penitentiary of Inzepoket. His crime was stealing a bicycle from a judge, who in turn sentenced him to 30 years hard labour. Bobo and his sidekick Julot-les-pinceaux are constantly hatching escape plans that never succeed due to the incompetence of the two inmates as well as the general imbecility of the prison administration.

The series must not be confused with Bobo.

* Initially started in 1961 in Spirou from where a pocket-book series sprung from 1966 to 1977 (76 issues).
