Name: DC (American comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

Comments: The corporation's logo changed several times over the years. The selected one ran from 1976 to 2005.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1993. Stopped in 1997 after 35 issues.

The title refers to a large group of lesser known superhumans, who, despite great differences, work together in order to rid the world of villains. Some of the syndicate members started out on the wrong side of the law, but they were won over. Others die during their actions and are being substituted.
