The series premiered in 1948. Stopped in 1951 after 20 issues, but continued titled The Hooded Horseman.

The series contains multiple independent stories from the Old West. Some of the recurring characters are Bantam Buckaroo, Injun Jones, Tenderfoot, and The Hooded Horseman.
