MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1977*. Stopped in 1979 after 15 issues, but has been revived several times since then.

The title character's real name is T'Challa, and he is an African-American superhero, who once moved from his native African nation called Wakanda to New York City. From here he pendles to Wakanda, whenever his skills are needed. It is also in Wakanda he receives the special herb that gives him his powers.
