:  The corporation chiefly published pulp fiction magazines and novels, but from 1940 to 1949 it took up publishing comic books as well. It never used a logo on these front covers.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1940*. Stopped in 1943 after 12 issues, but was revived from 1944 to 1947 titled Air Ace (20 issues).

The starring character, Bill Barnes, is an intrepid ace pilot during the Second World War. He also makes a living from testing experimental airplanes, where rivals and other shady types usually try to steal his accomplishments.

From issue #2 the series' title changed to Bill Barnes America's Air Ace.
