MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1950. Stopped in 1978.

This is the story about a pleasant college graduate's many adventures in and around his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. The series started with Ben Bolt as a heavyweight boxing champion of the world, and most of the first stories evolve around his fights in the ring.
After a few years the creators probably realized that the main theme of following a boxer's career was somewhat limited, so in 1955 they stopped Bolt's career by giving him a hand injury and throughout the rest of the series he functioned as a reporter for a boxing magazine. This gave his creators the freedom to produce more varied stories.
