MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1996. Stopped in 2012 after 18 issues.

This is a drama documentary taking place in the 1920s Berlin, the capital of Germany, between the two world wars. We experience the great general unrest after 'the war to end all wars' and witness the rising of diverse political fractions such as the Nazi party.
Among the numerous ordinary citizens from all walks of life some of the most often recurring characters are the friends Marthe Müller and Kurt Severing.
