MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2005. Stopped in 2008 after 12 issues*.

The stories tell about a Japanese rock band consisting of junior high school students, and their struggle towards fame. The band is named after a strange-looking dog called Beck. The band members are Tsunema Chiba (vocalist), Maho Minami (vocalist), Ryusuke 'Ray' Minami (guitarist), Yuji 'Saku' Sakurai (drummer), Yoshiyuki Taira (bassist), and Yukio 'Koyuki' Tanaka (guitarist and singer).

The full title of the series is Beck Mongolian Chop Squad.

* The original Japanese series consists of 34 issues, but Tokyopop lost the license to publish all the volumes.
