MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1997*. Stopped in 1998 after 9 issues.

In the 26th century, after an apocalyptic war, a martial arts cyborg called Alita (known as Gally in Japan) becomes a bounty warrior with her base in a city named Scrapyard situated somewhere in the former USA. From there she hunts criminal cyborgs.

* The series has run in a number of issues starting in 1992 with part #1. The series on this page is known as part #8, and there has been several more versions during the years until the present.
