The series premiered in 1973. Stopped in 1976 after 23 issues.

The series is an independent continuation of The Flintstones, but with a focus on that family's best friends, Barney and Betty Rubble.

The full title of the series is The Flintstones' Neighbors Barney & Betty Rubble.
