MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2004*. Stopped in 2007 after 19 issues.

The stories chiefly describe the life of protagonist Ash Lynx (real name Aslan Jade Callenreese), who is a streetfighter, gang leader, and assassin. He is constantly pursued by other gangs as well as mobster syndicates.
The title of the series suposedly derives from an American soldier in Vietnam who, in 1973, went berserk and killed his comrades while shouting Banana Fish.

* Initially, the series ran in Japan from 1985 to 1994 (19 issues), before it was published in parts in the USA from 1998 to 2004 (7 issues). The series on this page constitutes the first complete rendering in English.
