The title character is a male deer living in the deep woods, where he mostly helps other characters such as Chip 'n' Dale and The Seven Dwarves, when they are in trouble.

The character originates from the 1942 animated Disney feature film by the same title. At the time he was primarily a fawn, but in the comic books he alternates between being a fawn and a roebuck.
