Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1984*. Stopped in 1985 after 20 issues.

The Atari Force (Atari being an abbreviation for Advanced Technology And Research Institute) consists of a group of people from different nations with Martin Champion as the mission commander. They travel Space in their starship Scanner One in search of new worlds, and on their way they find both benign and hostile beings.

* The series had a shortlived forerunner from 1982 to 1983 (5 issues).
