The series premiered in
1983. Stopped in 1997.
The main character, Arno Firenze, is
an Italian pianist at the end of the 18th century
when Napoleon Bonaparte ruled large parts of
Europe. He becomes a revolutionary officer in
Napoleon's army after having saved him from
assasination, and soon Arno follows the army to
Egypt. There his new girlfriend gets killed and
he follows the murderer's trail to England.
