MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2010*. Ongoing.

The title character is Arata Hinohara, a shy and often bullied schoolboy in today's Japan, who is one day teleported to a mythical world named Amawakuni. When he arrives a governing princess is about to be appointed, and Arata seems to be the chosen one despite the fact that he is not a girl. Now Arata has to fight for his newfound position.

The full title of the series is Arata the Legend.
