Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1995. Stopped in 2000 after 59 issues.

The series is a mix of many genres originating from cartoon slapstick. We are introduced to comedic segments with roots in astronomy, geography, history, and science, and the number of participating characters is overwhelming.

The series is based on a TV series titled Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs, that ran from 1993 to 1995 (99 episodes).
