Name: DC (American comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

Comments: The corporation's logo changed several times over the years. The selected one ran from 1976 to 2005.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1988. Stopped in 1995 after 89 issues, but has been revived several times with the longest series running from 2011 to 2012 (13 issues).

The title character is a superhero with the identity of Bernhard 'Buddy' Baker. He takes his special abilities from any animal he needs for a special job. Examples: The reflexes of a fly, the wall-crawling of a spider, the agility of a snake, the flight of a bird, the speed of an ant, and the strength of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
