This is part of a large children's comic book series containing more than 200 characters created from 1959 on by cartoonist Mauricio Araújo de Sousa.

The recurring main character on this page is the eccentric schoolteacher Licurgo Orival Umbelino Cafiaspirino de Oliveira, who hates to be called by his initials LOUCO (meaning Crazy in English).
