MAIN STORY |
The
series premiered in 1948. Stopped in 1990. This
has been one of the most popular pantomime strips in the
world. It features a Latin looking husband (supposedly by
the name of Alfredo, but we do not know for sure because
the characters never speak!), who is an incorrigible
womanizer - a fact that he always tries to hide for his
wife - and the stout wife who only occasionally has an
inkling of the goings-on. The original title of the series was Violinvirtuosen Alfredo (Violin Virtuoso Alfredo), although it premiered in France under the name of Presto. Later it was known worldwide as Alfredo. |
