The series premiered in 1946. Stopped in 1956 after 569 issues*, but continues titled Almanacco Topolino**.

The series features comic books in several genres with an emphasis on Walt Disney material.

* Until 1952 the issues were numbered continously. From 1953 on the numberings started each year.
** The last 3 issues of Albi d'Oro received the new title, though.
